Every couple of months we host an open-invitation meet to explore a small section of the Peak District National Park. It’s a great way of meeting new people and sharing our favourite places. We’ve visited the Chatsworth Estate, Derwent Reservoir, Chrome Hill, Win Hill, Ladyclough Forest and many more locations over the couple of years. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, you can find all the information you need for our next #peakstameet below. You don’t need to be interested in photography to come along, but if you are, please remember to tag us and we may ask if we can share your images.

Chrome Hill.

  • Date: Saturday 20th January.
  • Time: 7.45am.
  • Location: The Quiet Woman (SK17 0BU approx.)

It’s that time again. Our next #peakstameet has been organised with a sunrise ramble around Chrome Hill. We will meet outside the Quiet Woman pub at 7.45am before proceeding down to Parkhouse and Chrome Hill. There is plenty of on street parking in the area. Following the meet, we will likely return to this pub or another local for lunch.

This walk isn’t too strenuous but involves climbing two peaks which can be precarious on the descent due to icy conditions. We would advise you to be sure of foot before deciding whether to attend, future meets will involve less climbing and may therefore be more suitable. Remember you don’t need a camera to join us, it’s all just about getting Outdoors with like-minded people.
